Proofpoint to acquire Normalyze AI, another DSPM acquisition

Proofpoint announced its intent to acquire Normalyze, a Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) pioneer, in a deal set to close in November 2024. This acquisition aims to enhance Proofpoint’s human-centric security platform by integrating Normalyze’s AI-powered DSPM technology, designed to protect data across varied environments, including SaaS, PaaS, public clouds, and on-premises systems. This integration will address growing data security challenges posed by complex data landscapes and AI adoption, aiming to reduce human-centered risks.

The merger will enable organizations to discover, classify, and prioritize sensitive data, manage overprivileged access, and receive actionable security insights. Notably, Normalyze’s technology includes an AI-driven data scanner and quantified risk assessment tools, which help identify high-impact risks and potential data breaches, enhancing both compliance and security.
